We are turning 100!!!

At the beginning of 2020 we will be celebrating the Centenary of Foster Elementary, Foster High, South Gippsland Secondary & Foster Secondary College as it is now known.  Foster township is also turning 150 in 2020 and we are kicking off the combined celebrations with a Back to School on the weekend of Saturday January 25th and Sunday 26th 2020

ALL past and current students and families are welcome to attend.  We are not mailing out information this time, so please pass information on to anyone you know would like to attend.  A bulk email will be sent out to all current emails we have on our data base and details will be on our website and face book page.

Please register your attendance now at “TryBooking” on the following link

Updates on the weekend and Foster’s 150th celebrations will be posted over the coming months to the College website below, and the Foster Community website, so keep your eye out.

A brief overview of the weekend is – Saturday begin with a General Assembly at 10.30am.  Each decade will then move to allocated areas of the school to congregate and catch up with old classmates.  Food, BBQ, tea coffee and slices available for purchase. If we have enough young children attending, we will run suitable activities during the day to keep them happy.  In the evening, a centenary dance will be held in the Foster Hall.  Sunday event details to be posted on our website once arrangements are finalised.

After our last Back To, we received some photos from missing years, but would still love copies of any photos you have prior to 1964, and again from 1967 to 1969 and from 1974 to 1976,   Foster Primary has no records prior to 1990. Other memorabilia you have, that you think might be of interest, we would love to borrow for the weekend also.  Please let us know what you have.

www.promaccom.com.au is a great website to help locate accommodation in this area. Book your accommodation early to avoid disappointment, as we are hoping to get between 2000 & 5000 people back for the weekend. It will be a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and for family reunions as well, with some families having four generations who have attended here.

Hope to see you all in 2020
